Dr. Brian Day is recognized both in Canada and abroad as one of the world's leading orthopedic Surgeons. He was the first orthopaedic surgeon ever to be elected as President of the Canadian Medical Association. He is the President and CEO of Cambie Surgeries Corporation, the first private health care facility of its kind in Canada and described by many in the media as "Canada's finest medical facility". He pioneered arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, a procedure he has completed over one thousand times in his career. Dr. Day has lectured at many universities and learned societies nationally and internationally on such varied topics as orthopaedics, health policy and health economics. He won the Canadian Orthopaedic Association's Edouard Samson Award for outstanding orthopaedic research in Canada. He is a co-founder and partner in the Fortius Institute and senior member in the leadership team behind Fortius Sport & Health.
