Dr. Tim Doty joins Fortius Sport & Health as a GP. He graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Medicine in 2006 after which he spent the next few years in rural communities practicing Family and Emergency Medicine. He was formerly a Firefighter, both in his home province of Quebec, as well as with the BC Forest Service Rapattack team in Salmon Arm, BC. Dr. Doty has a passion for sport and is currently working with Allan McGavin sports physicians and Fortius’ Director of Sport Medicine, Dr. Jack Taunton to complete his certification in Sport Medicine with CASEM. Moreover, Tim has the privilege of working for the Canadian Women’s Soccer Team . He was part of the Medical team at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, serving as the Manager of Medical Services for BC Place. He has provided medical coverage for Western Hockey League players and high altitude climbers.
