Fortius Sport & Health is an integrated athlete development centre strengthened through philanthropy and focused on optimizing human performance for life.
Noa is a coach, exercise physiologist, biomechanist, and sports nutritionist. Her athletic involvement started about 28 years ago as a competitive swimmer. Noa enjoyed both swimming and running, but at age 11 her swimming coach told her that she needed to choose one or the other. Instead of choosing, Noa decided to add cycling to the mix and after only one training session with her new triathlon team, she knew she had found the sport for her.
Noa won several elite junior national titles in triathlon and cycling and raced at an international level since she was 15 years old, taking part in European Youth Cup races, European Junior Championships, Mountain Running World championships and various ITU pro races. She has competed in hundreds of races, ranging from sprint triathlons to Half Ironman triathlons, in addition to national and international cycling and running events.
In 2005, Noa graduated with a sport coaching and science degree (Canterbury University/Christchurch College of Education in Christchurch, NZ). Her thesis measured the impact manipulating seat tube angle on athletes' bikes has on VO2max, power output and threshold. In 2009, Noa graduated with the prestigious & internationally recognized IOC post graduate diploma in sport nutrition.
Noa has been fortunate to gain valuable experience working with a variety of athletes as a coach, nutritionist and bike fitter. She has worked with absolute beginners to Olympic medalists to anyone in between. She is passionate about excellence, helping athletes achieve their goals and developing young, promising athletes into international performers and podium competitors.
