Fortius Sport & Health is an integrated athlete development centre strengthened through philanthropy and focused on optimizing human performance for life.
Dr. Rebecca Skillen joins Fortius Sport & Health as a Sport Medicine Physician. She received her MD from McMaster University and completed her fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the Allan McGavin Sport Medicine Centre at UBC. She has a MSc in exercise physiology from the University of California, and worked as an exercise physiologist prior to entering medicine. Dr. Skillen is the team physician for the UBC women's rugby team and a sessional lecturer in the school of kinesiology at UBC. She has worked with the Canadian Women's U17 and U20 soccer teams.
