Fortius Sport & Health is an integrated athlete development centre strengthened through philanthropy and focused on optimizing human performance for life.
Growing up in sport from as early as he could remember, it wasn't long before Wes found his competitive and coaching edge. Wesley grew up playing hockey from age 4 to 16, all the while he practiced various sports at a competitive level: baseball, wakeboarding, snowboarding and rugby. Strength and conditioning then became his new hobby, followed by road and track cycling in which he has been competing ever since. Combine these sports with a passion for coaching, he eventually found cycling stuck with him and he got involved with Cycling BC through their iRide program and this led to coaching their High Performance road and track projects, helping out athletes from a very young age to a national level, refining skills all the way. Whether just learning the fundamentals of riding or encouraging athletes through national stage races, Wesley's enthusiasm for cycling combined with his wide experience makes him a tremendous asset to the Fortius PowerWatts Team and the cycling community.
