ABOUT KIDSMOVE SCHOOLS

KidsMove is a youth physical activity program that integrates physical, lifestyle and mental skills to support the development of children aged 9-12. Fortius Sport & Health, the Steve Nash Foundation, Pro Motion Research Institute, and the IAD Group have collaborated with Fortius to create this program.

Through a pioneering partnership with the Burnaby School District, KidsMove is now delivered as part of the school curriculum, bringing students and their teachers to Fortius for a 10-week program that is changing the Physical Education paradigm. For the 2018/19 school year, the program has expanded to nine schools across Burnaby, reaching 500 students and training around 20 teachers and education assistants to support high quality physical education in schools.
