COVID UPDATE | NOVEMBER 24, 2020
On November 24, 2020 B.C. Provincial Orders announced an immediate temporary suspension of all indoor group activities. At this time, Small Group Training, SportSTRONG and GirlSTRONG will once again be temporarily suspended. More information on B.C. group fitness guidelines is expected to be released on November 30.
Since the start of the pandemic, Fortius made a commitment to put the health and safety of clients, team members and our community first. Following the Provincial Health Order released on November 7, 2020, we are continuing this commitment by temporarily suspending the following operations:
GROUP FITNESS CLASSES
Fortius’ Small Group Training and youth SportSTRONG and GirlSTRONG group training programs will be suspended through November 23, 2020 or until new orders are released from the Provincial Health Officer. We will be contacting clients early next week with more information regarding make-up sessions and alternative training options.
All private team training in the Fortius Fitness & Performance Centre will be suspended through November 23, 2020 or until new orders are released from the Provincial Health Officer. These groups will be contacted directly to discuss alternative training arrangements during this time.
The Provincial Health Order has recommended indoor sports like hockey, basketball and others where physical distancing cannot be maintained, temporarily suspend operations. Following these orders, group sports rentals of the Fortius gymnasium will be suspended through November 23, 2020 or until new orders are released from the Provincial Health Officer.
In-line with these recommendations, and adhering to the detailed safety protocols already in place at Fortius, we will continue to offer all one-on-one appointments and training sessions, including membership zone bookings.
As cases continue to rise in the lower mainland, we are confident the decisions made today will make a difference in the future health and safety of our community. Thank you for your patience and compassion as we navigate this together.
