Fortius partners with Adamas esports as Titans’ Training Ground

Vancouver, B.C. – Canucks Sports & Entertainment announced today a new partnership agreement with Adamas Esports Training + Performance, which is located within and partnered with Fortius Sport & Health to provide access to world class services and facilities for esports performance.

This agreement makes Adamas the official performance partner of the Vancouver Titans and Seattle Surge. Adamas and Fortius will also serve as the official training centre and home, respectively, of the Vancouver Titans for the 2020 season.

“We’re excited to partner with Adamas Esports Training + Performance at Fortius Sport & Health to provide our Titans players and coaches with an all-encompassing environment to train and live during the busy esports season, including access to a state-of-the-art high performance fitness centre, a multi-disciplinary sport medicine clinic, a chef-inspired bistro, and much more,” said Tim Holloway, Esports Director, Aquilini Entertainment.

“Our goal in this partnership is to help the Titans and Surge reach not just their performance and championship aspirations but also their fitness and health goals,” continued Holloway. “Through the expertise of staff and practitioners at Adamas and Fortius, our teams will be able to garner tips on how to best handle the various stresses that can arise in competing at the highest level in esports.”

As part of this new partnership, Adamas Esports Training + Performance will provide both teams with ongoing baseline testing and monitoring to ensure optimum performance. This also includes continuing one-on-one education with players, coaches and staff on how to minimize the stresses that can arise with demanding travel schedules.

The Vancouver Titans are a professional esports team competing in the Pacific Division of the Overwatch League. In its inaugural season in 2019, the Vancouver Titans appeared in three Stage Finals as well as the Overwatch League Grand Finals. Finishing the season with an overall record of 25-3, the Titans impressive first season included the longest winning streak in the history of the League (19 straight wins), as well as Pacific Division and Stage 1 Championship crowns. The team’s youngest player Hyojong “Haksal” Kim was also named the Overwatch League Rookie of the Year.

The Seattle Surge are a professional esports team competing in the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League. The veteran five-man roster has won 54 major tournaments between them team and includes members Bryan ‘Apathy’ Zhelyazkov (two-time world champion), Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow (three-time world champion), Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt (2019 World Championship runner-up), Sam ‘Octane’ Larew (three-time Pro-League All-Star) and Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry (Luminosity Call of Duty captain).
