Recipe of the month: Banana Berry Smoothie

Every month our chef is whipping up a new feature meal or beverage in our Game Changers Bistro. Stop by to try it out OR make it at home with tips from our Fortius dietitian.


  • ½ cup of apple juice
  • 1 cup of plain or greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • ½ of cup of frozen bananas


Add all ingredients to a high power blender and pulse until smooth.

Greek yogurt has increased in popularity over the last few years. So what’s the difference? Greek yogurt has been strained removing the liquid part of milk, making it thicker and creamier while doubling the protein content. The added bonus, it also contains a good source of calcium to support bone health. A ¾ cup of plain Greek yogurt provides 100kcal, which is 20% of our daily calcium needs, and 16-18g of protein. Trying adding it to your favorite smoothie to help with recovery after a hard workout!
