1 in 4 people in BC will experience back pain at some point in their life, and 25% of these will develop chronic back pain.
BackSTRONG is an eight-week, physiotherapy-led program helping athletes and active individuals with chronic back, sacroiliac joint, and/or pelvic pain.
The two-phase program combines physiotherapy with strength & conditioning to help participants take control of their pain and transition back into physical activity.
- Postural training, core activation, and movement education with a physiotherapist;
- Self-management, including pain, release and recovery strategies;
- Functional movement and strengthening with a strength & conditioning coach.
