Assessing and training visual performance.
Post-concussion vision assessment and rehabilitation
Studies have found that vision problems may affect 69 – 82% of concussed patients, regardless of age. Post-concussion vision symptoms like blurred or double vision, sensitivity to light, visual motion hypersensitivity and reduced peripheral vision, can impair your ability to work, play sports and get through daily life.
Our Post-Concussion Vision exam analyzes the visual dysfunctions commonly associated with mild traumatic brain injuries, so we can provide the best treatment plan to help you get back to enjoying life.
Assessing and training athletic visual performance
There are approximately 20 visual skills that can be evaluated and optimized for peak visual performance.
We offer a variety of comprehensive vision examinations, customizable to your specific visual needs and sport, which are designed to help you maximize visual performance, efficiency and comfort. Our entry-level exam consists of a thorough case history, followed by an in-depth assessment of oculomotor, binocularity, accommodation, refractive analysis and ocular health, including Optomap retinal imagery.
Vision therapy and training can be thought of as “physiotherapy for the eyes”, or more accurately “physiotherapy for the brain”. Our vision training is designed to improve the functioning of the visual system — enhancing the coordination and integration of vision with the body’s other motor, sensory and cognitive systems.
